The Assistant Minister for Economic Development, Deputy Alan Maclean has confirmed that the Airport Director, Julian Green will be remaining in post. It was originally announced in July of this year that Mr Green would be leaving as soon as a suitable replacement was found. However, since then there has been a sustained effort by many in the business community as well as government and airport staff for him to stay and see through to completion a number of significant projects.
Announcing Mr Green’s decision to stay, Deputy Maclean said, “I am delighted that Julian Green will be remaining with us at Jersey Airport. In recent months, under his direction, the airport team has demonstrated its preparedness to meet the challenges of various projects currently underway here. In addition, at a time when the airline industry globally faces a number of issues I can think of no-one better than Julian Green, with his commitment, enthusiasm and endeavour to see us through this difficult period”
