PfA Consultants have been appointed as a recommended advisor under the Percentage for Art scheme.
Percentage for Art, which was introduced by Senator Cohen in 2007, encourages owners of large residential or commercial developments to invest a percentage of their development costs into the provision of art in the built environment. Percentage for Art advisors work with the developer, advising them on appropriate artists and art forms as well as managing the commissioning, delivery and installation of the art.
Andrew Scate, Chief Executive Officer at the Planning and Environment Department said “The Percentage for Art scheme has been extremely successful. Many works of art have already been commissioned and within a couple of years we will have created a unique portfolio of art and craftsmanship, which will be publicly accessible, and which will enhance and reflect the beauty of our Island. Appointing PfA Consultants as a recommended advisor will further broaden the range of public art experience and artistic talent that local architects and developers can tap into when developing their Percentage for Art schemes”.
