On Tuesday 12 July 2011, Assistant Chief Minister, UK and International Relations, Senator Freddie Cohen, will sign a Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) with the Czech Republic. The signing will take place at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London, with His Excellency, Mr Michael Zantovsky, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the United Kingdom.
Senator Cohen said, “This, the first TIEA I will have had the honour to sign, is a continuation of an ongoing programme of signing TIEAs or double taxation agreements with all EU, OECD and G20 member countries.
“This will be the twenty-second TIEA we will have signed, and we will then have signed or agreed ready for signing TIEAs or DTAs with a total of 18 of the 27 EU Member States.”
