On behalf of Jersey’s Council of Ministers, I would like to express our sadness at the death of the Connétable of Grouville, Dan Murphy, and convey our sympathy to his family.
Connétable Murphy served his community with commitment and energy. He was a long serving and valued member of the parish.
He served the Comité des Connétables as Vice Chairman, and he served his Island as a respected member of the States Assembly for a decade. He will be remembered with great fondness.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Dan’s wife, daughter and wider family and friends at this sad and difficult time.
