The Treasury Minister, Senator Philip Ozouf, will represent Jersey at the Labour Party conference in Brighton between 22 and 24 September 2013.
The conference will be attended by delegates from within the Labour Party as well as those representing charities, the private sector, political organisations and other governments.
Senator Ozouf said "It is important that we continue to engage as broadly as possible with UK politicians, not just those in the Coalition parties. Attending the Labour Party conference is an opportunity for us to promote Jersey and, where necessary, to correct any misconceptions about the Island.
"It is important that we convey as widely and clearly as possible the message about Jersey’s contribution to the UK economy. The UK is our most important economic, political and constitutional partner, and strengthening that relationship is in the long term interests of all Islanders.”

Last week, the Assistant Chief Minister, Senator Sir Philip Bailhache and Senator Ozouf attended the Liberal Democrat Party conference in Glasgow.
The Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, and the Treasury Minister will attend the Conservative Party conference in Manchester between 30 September and 2 October 2013.
