27 August 2014
Work to resurface La Neuve Route between La Haule Slip and St Brelade’s College begins on Monday 1 September.
The work will be done in four sections, the first of which runs from the west of La Haule Slip to the exit of St Brelade's Parish Hall car park. Lanes will be closed, with traffic lights in operation, between 7.30am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday. The road will be fully open at all other times. Buses will run as normal throughout the day but roadside parking will be suspended.
This first section will be done in three phases to limit lane closure to no more than 120 metres at a time, each taking about a week, and the whole first section should be completed by Wednesday 24 September.
Minimising disruption
No resurfacing works will be undertaken on the day of the International Air Display on 11 September 2014 or during the Branchage Festival from 25 to 28 September 2014.
Transport and Technical Services (TTS) will try to limit disruption to residents, businesses and road users.
The work is being carried out by Brenwal Limited on behalf of TTS, and a small number of Landslide car park spaces will be used to accommodate Brenwal’s site compound.
If you have any queries or concerns regarding the resurfacing works, contact TTS's Highway Maintenance by email or calling +44 (0)1534 445509.
