Jersey's Home Affairs Department hosted a delegation from Guernsey's Home Department on Thursday 5 March.
It is the first formal meeting between Jersey's Minister for Home Affairs, Deputy Kristina Moore, and Guernsey's Home Department Minister, Deputy Peter Gillson.
Deputy
Moore said "The departments share common responsibilities and face common
issues, and I am looking forward to exploring opportunities for the two islands
to work more closely together. I am sure that there are opportunities for us to
be more efficient and effective."
The delegation from Guernsey also includes Board Members Deputy Matthew Fallaize and the Home Department's chief officer, Mark De Garis.
Deputy Moore will be joined by the Assistant Minister, Connetable Deidre Mezbourian and Home Affairs Chief Officer Stephen Austin-Vautier.
