Severe gale force winds have damaged the roof at the Planning and Building Services South Hill office and forced the office to be relocated.
High winds earlier today blew away a large area of the flat roof covering and rain water has penetrated parts of the building. For safety reasons the roads leading to the office were closed and staff were evacuated from the building. The Planning and Building office will remain closed until repairs have been completed and the building has been made safe.
The Department of the Environment has temporarily relocated its Planning and Building Services office to Howard Davis Farm, La Route de la Trinité, Trinity, for Thursday 10 March and Friday 11 March. The temporary office will be open from 8.30am to 5pm.
It is expected that the South Hill Planning and Building Services office will re-open as normal from Monday 14 March.
