26 October 2018
One week after the launch of ‘One Front Door’ at Philip Le Feuvre House on La Motte Street, more services are relocating. Passport and Customs queries will be dealt with at the same location as a wide range of other government services from Monday 29 October. The move is part of the States of Jersey ‘One Gov’ vision to deliver a modern, efficient, public service for islanders.
Before the launch of Customer and Local Services in La Motte Street, a new layout was completed, welcome hosts were introduced and a system was installed to help people access the services they need.
The first week has seen positive feedback on the ease of accessing multiple services in one place and on the introduction of welcome hosts, who can deal with a range of queries and serve customers more quickly.
The relocation of Passports and Customs to La Motte Street means Maritime House will be closed to the public from Friday 26 October, except by appointment.
The phone numbers and email addresses remain as follows:
- Tax Helpdesk: +44(0)1534 440300
- Passports and Customs: +44(0)1534 448000 | passports@gov.je
- Planning and Building Control: +44(0)1534 445508 | planning@gov.je
From Monday 5 November, Planning and Building Control will also move to La Motte Street, enabling customers to access another service in the same building.
