The States Employment Board (SEB) has written to more than 3,000 civil servants to update them on the pay review covering 2018, 2019 and 2020.
SEB made a revised final pay offer earlier this month, and the trade unions have decided to ballot their members on it.
Today’s letter explains the process that has been followed throughout the year-long negotiations with the two unions – Prospect and Unite – and asks civil servants, many of whom do not belong to a union, to share their views on both the revised offer and the previous offer that was rejected by the unions.
The letter includes a summary of the efforts made to reach agreement over the past year, including the revised offers made by SEB negotiators in response to issues raised by trade union representatives.
