The next Closer to Home event is to be held on Wednesday 15 July from 1-4pm at the Salvation Army headquarters, Minden Street in St Helier. It will focus on providing support and guidance on financial matters, wellbeing, housing and job seeking.
Closer to Home brings together government services and the voluntary sector to offer a range of free support, advice and guidance.
By bringing together government services, the voluntary and community sector, and parishes, Closer to Home makes it easier for people to access services that can improve their wellbeing.
The next event offers a range of support and services including:
- financial advice
- job seeking
- wellbeing services
- housing support
Lucy Nicolaou, from The Listening Lounge, said: “Previous Closer to Home roadshows have provided islanders with a fantastic opportunity to find out more about the many services available in Jersey, all in one place.
“The past few months have been unusual for all of us and some people are now faced with additional challenges with their wellbeing, finances, housing, or employment. We encourage people to come along on Wednesday and connect with the services that offer help and support at this time.”
Closer to Home is a partnership initiative developed by the Government of Jersey, voluntary and community organisations and the Parishes. The list of partners is constantly evolving.
