The DMW Group has been appointed as the specialist partner to support the procurement of an Integrated Technology Solution (ITS) provider for the Government of Jersey.
As explained in the Government Plan, investment is urgently needed to modernise the Government’s IT systems and processes. The Integrated Technology Solution project will provide, among other things, a digital back office that will join up finance, payroll and procurement systems.
As well as replacing old and outdated systems, it will enable the Government to access and share information more effectively across the organisation and deliver efficiencies. The total budget for the programme, which runs until 2023, is £28 million, as set out in the Government Plan.
During the contract, the DMW Group will work with the Government to produce a detailed procurement strategy for the project, lead the tender evaluation process and support the awarding of the contract(s).
Chief Operating Officer, John Quinn, said: “We were pleased with the number and quality of companies who wanted to work with us on this crucial project. This is a complex piece of work which we don’t have the capacity or expertise to deliver with our own resources.
“The DMW Group will be using their specialist knowledge to lead the procurement process. They’ll also create a lasting legacy by training our employees and sharing their expertise with them.”
The three-year contract is worth £2.7 million, which covers the contract and other related costs.
The DMW Group is a leading UK independent technology consultancy firm, advising and delivering critical IT-enabled business change for public and private sector clients. DMW’s CEO, Chris Dean, said: “DMW is delighted to be working with the Government of Jersey on the procurement of an ITS provider.
"Our team of skilled consultants is looking forward to working closely and collaboratively with the Government of Jersey to ensure that this procurement lays the foundations needed to drive the modernisation the Government is seeking.”
