COVID Status Certification booster update

09 December 2021

Islanders who have moved address since receiving their first COVID Status Certificate (CSC) are reminded to update their details, as secure paper booster certificates are due to be sent out from next week.

Islanders can update their details online at gov.je/contactdetails or by calling Customer and Local Services on 01534 444 444.

A secure paper booster certificate will automatically be sent in the post to all residents who received their booster dose before 8 December. Those who received their booster dose after 8 December will be sent a certificate within 2 weeks after the booster dose was administered.

This secure paper booster certificate can be used as evidence of a booster dose in the UK, EU and rest of the world. Jersey QR codes will work for all UK domestic scenarios, including England. The QR code will read 'valid' if scanned by the NHS COVID Pass Verifier App. Islanders can check this themselves by downloading it from Google/Apple App stores.

If Islanders aged 12 and over require a certificate with a QR code compatible with the EU Digital COVID Certificate Scheme, they are reminded that they can call the Coronavirus Helpline who will email them a PDF version of their CSC.

This PDF version currently only includes a QR code for first and second doses administered, but from 15 December, QR codes for booster doses will also be included.

Islanders are reminded to not call the helpline before 15 December to request a QR code for their third dose as they will not be available.

The team continue to work on making the online portal available to allow Islanders to access their own digital certificate and QR codes.

Secure paper primary course vaccination certificates (demonstrating a first and second dose) are automatically issued to all residents aged 12 and over after the second dose has been administered.
