Deadline for feedback on Children and Young People Mental Health strategy

09 June 2021

Islanders have until the end of this week, Friday 11 June, to share their views on the Children and Young People Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Draft Strategy.

The draft strategy has been co-produced with children, young people, parents, carers, and professionals and is designed to radically overhaul and improve mental health outcomes for children and young people.

A survey was launched last month, in different languages, seeking Islanders’ views on the Strategy.

Assistant Minister for Children and Education, Deputy Trevor Pointon, who has responsibility for CAMHS, said: “We would like to thank all those who have taken the time to complete the survey. More than 200 have completed the survey so far and we would like to encourage anyone who has a view on children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing to take part in the survey and have their say.

“Like everyone, our children and young people have been really impacted by the pandemic, so it is more important, than ever, that Islanders get involved to help us consider what we want our children and young people’s mental health services to look like in the future.”

More information on the survey is available on the Government of Jersey website.
