A new pavement and bus shelter opposite the Mont Fallu junction, on the northbound route towards St Peter's village has been constructed.
The two metre wide pavement and the new shelter will make it safer for passengers waiting at the stop and encourage more Islanders in the area to use the bus service as part of the Government's Sustainable Transport Policy framework.
The work began on La Route de Beaumont on 7 June and took six weeks to complete. Jersey civil engineering contractor, Brenwal Ltd carried out the work.
Minister for Infrastructure, Deputy Kevin Lewis, said: "I am pleased that the work has been completed and the pavement and bus shelter is now being used by locals in the area.
"The work involved dismantling the wall that was separating the field from the road and building a new granite wall further into the field to make way for a pavement. I'd like to thank the landowners again for their generosity in providing the land needed, and to the Tenants of the Marsh for kindly donating £25,000 towards the scheme.
"Buses use the north-bound stop regularly, so the pavement and bus shelter has greatly improved the safety of passengers and should encourage more people to take the bus rather than using their cars."
