The Vaccine Centre at Fort Regent has extended walk-in appointments throughout August for both first and second doses following the success of Walk in Week. While first and second doses will continue to be available, the Centre will be closed for a few days throughout the month to prepare for the booster programme.
Walk in appointments at Fort Regent are available between 11.30 to 18.30 most weekdays and between 08.30 to 15.30 on Saturdays. Islanders should visit gov.je to see which days the Centre is closed. Islanders must bring ID if they are attending their first dose at any of the Rock Up mobile clinics or Fort Regent.
Second doses are currently only being administered at Fort Regent. Eligible Islanders will still receive an appointment time for their second dose but if they are unable to attend, they can walk in at a more convenient date and time, provided it has been at least 28 days since the first dose was administered.
Last week, 219 Islanders visited the Vaccination Centre without an appointment to get their first dose as part of Walk in Week. The Rock Up campaign which began in the Royal Square yesterday (Monday 2 August) administered 30 first doses.

Operations Lead of the Vaccination Programme, Ross Barnes, said: "Walk in Week was very successful with over 200 Islanders coming in to get their first dose without needing to book an appointment. We will now extend this for the whole of August and offer walk-in appointments for both first and second doses, Islanders are also welcome to come with their friends and only need to spare about 20 minutes of their day.
"As we approach the final stages of the current vaccine programme, we will be closing the Vaccination Centre at Fort Regent for a few days every week to allow us to fully prepare for the booster programme. However, Islanders are still able to go and get their first dose at any of the Rock Up mobile clinics which will be open seven days a week for the next two weeks, and can walk in for their first or second dose at Fort Regent on any of the open days. Islanders are able to see the full schedule online or can book an appointment if preferred."
Minister for Health and Social Services, Deputy Richard Renouf, said: "I am pleased with how well the Vaccine Programme has been doing, particularly in the last week with the success of Walk in Week and the launch of the Rock Up campaign yesterday which saw over 30 Islanders getting their first dose. It is great to see that 85% of adult Islanders have had at least one dose and are making use of how easy it is to get vaccinated.
"If any Islanders are feeling uncertain about the vaccine, they are welcome to visit one of the mobile clinics or the Vaccine Centre to speak with a healthcare worker. I'd also like to remind those Islanders who are turning 18 in the next three months that they are also welcome to go and get their first dose at a mobile clinic or at Fort Regent's Vaccination Centre."
