Young people between the ages of 10 and 18 are being asked to share how COVID-19 has changed their online experiences and habits.
An anonymous survey will be available between 28 February and 27 March for young people to complete. The survey asks about how much time they spend online every day and whether this has changed due to COVID-19 and if the pandemic means they learnt new skills.
Children under 14 will need the permission of a parent, carer, teacher or youth worker to take part in the survey.
The project has been commissioned by the Chief Minister, Senator John Le Fondré, to understand the impact of the pandemic on children and young people's online engagement.
Survey responses will be used to develop policies, skills and support for young people. The resulting Children and Digital World strategy will be released later this year.
Deputy Martin, Chair of the Children and Digital World Project Steering Group, said: "We want to understand young people's day-to-day online activities to identify how we can best support their safety and wellbeing when interacting online."
All survey responses will be anonymous.
