The Government's health and wellbeing festival, WellFest 2023, was attended by hundreds of Islanders on Saturday, at Grainville School.
The event, which was organised by Public Health, brought together over 40 organisations to promote good health and wellbeing.
Islanders were invited to take part in various activities including sports sessions, yoga, pilates, cookery demonstrations, and nature-based art. There were also a series of inspirational talks covering a wide range of subjects, and interactive market stalls offering health and strength tests, mindfulness and play.
Director of Public Health, Professor Peter Bradley, said: "WellFest was an opportunity to bring Islanders together and demonstrate how population health is delivered through collective working across various organisations. It has allowed us to connect Islanders with the recently published Public Health Strategy, which was officially launched at a stakeholder event on Tuesday 10 October.
"I would like to thank everyone who was involved in the organisation of this event, including all the organisations, charities, and businesses who joined us on Saturday. Our priority in Public Health is to ensure Islanders experience good health and wellbeing throughout their lives and this was an opportunity for Islanders to find out just how many different organisations there are in Jersey who act as health and wellbeing ambassadors.
"I would also like to thank all those who attended the event, I hope they left feeling inspired to prioritise and improve their health and wellbeing."
