Application forms are being sent to all parents and carers who registered for a Government of Jersey non-fee-charging school place for September 2024.
Parents and carers must return the form to their catchment school by Friday 1 December 2023.
Parents and carers can find out their catchment school by:
- looking at the catchment map below
- contacting their local primary school
- contacting the Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills on 445504, or by e-mailing schooladmissions@gov.je

Parents and carers can request up to three schools in order of choice. Where schools are oversubscribed we prioritise children, in the order below, who:
- are a Looked After Child, or have a Special Educational Need and/or Disability (SEN/D) and must access a specific school
- have brothers or sisters in the school (Reception class to Year 5)
- are living in the primary school's catchment area
- are living in the secondary school's catchment area
- have a sibling(s) in the school in Year 6
- have other requests supported by a good educational reason for attending a non-catchment school
Primary schools will write to all parents/carers at the end of January 2024 to offer places
Parents/carers should inform the school if they no longer need an offered place.
Parents/carers will not be offered a place in a Government of Jersey non-fee-charging primary school if they have registered for a place in a fee-paying school. This is so that parents/carers who need a Government of Jersey non-fee-charging school place have the best chance of getting a place at their chosen school.
