A report on progress towards making interactions between businesses and Government as easy as
possible has been published: Enabling Business: Response to Barriers to Business Report (gov.je)
The Barriers to Business report was commissioned by the Minister for Sustainable Economic
Development, Deputy Kirsten Morel, as part of a commitment to making Government interactions as
simple and efficient as possible for new and existing businesses, entrepreneurs and social
enterprises.
Jersey Business produced the report independently and it was published in December 2023 with 38
recommendations.
The Enabling Business report sets out the actions that Government has taken, and will take, in
response to those recommendations. Work will continue, and a further update on the progress will
be given later this year.
