FCJ has been reviewed as part of the Jersey Schools Review Framework (JSRF) and inspected under the Jersey Standards for Independent Schools (JSIS). Both reports are available to download here.
The JSRF review and JSIS inspection were led by a senior adviser from the Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills (CYPES) and consisted of a total of four reviewers, who visited the school over three days in January.
During the review, the team held discussions with groups of pupils, observed teaching and learning across Reception to Year 6, and sampled safeguarding records. The results of parental and staff surveys were also considered.
The inspection team reviewed documents including policy and curriculum plans, met with representatives of the FCJ Educational Trust, the Governing Body, the Headteacher, senior and middle leaders, and checked the safety and security of the school's site.
Headteacher of FCJ, Donna Lenzi said: "I am ecstatic that both the review and inspection have emphasised the exceptional learning and caring environment we have at FCJ. It is a true privilege to work alongside the dedicated staff and governors of this wonderful school, and it is with immense gratitude that I extend my heartfelt thanks to the superb FCJ staff team. I am also thrilled that the inspirational passion of our senior leadership team, which feeds into the strong academic achievement of the school, has been recognised and celebrated.
“We are grateful to have had the opportunity to be inspected by such high-calibre, consummate professionals. The Review Team included more than 36 years of HMI inspection experience, in addition to a highly experienced Headteacher and SIAS member. We very much appreciate, and value their care, rigor, engagement, and insightful observations throughout the inspection process.
“At FCJ, we feel truly blessed to work alongside the children, staff, parents, and governors of our superb school, and to benefit from the unwavering support received from The FCJ Educational Trust. This collective commitment to our school's shared vision of personal and academic excellence has been the driving force behind our accomplishments. We look forward to the future with excitement, determined to build on the wonderful success of this inspection."

Notes
- The Jersey Schools Review Framework was piloted across Government schools from 2016 to 2019. After a pause during COVID, review visits have restarted and will continue throughout the 2023 – 2024 academic year. Reviews take place every three years and consider the environment in the school, the standards of learning, teaching and achievement, the behaviour and personal development of pupils, and the effectiveness of school leadership
- Independent schools are inspected against the requirements of the Education (Jersey) Law 1999 and the minimum standards outlined in the Jersey Standards for Independent School Inspections handbook. These inspections consider the school's compliance against eight standards: the quality of education, pupil behaviour and personal development, pupil safeguarding and welfare, suitability of staff and proprietors, suitability of school premises, provision of information, parental complaints, and the quality of leadership and management.
