This weekend, the Government of Jersey will reach another key milestone in improvements to
Planning Services.
The Regulation team will go live with a significant upgrade, ensuring the long-term
stability of the document management system, which securely stores documentation relating to
planning applications.
During the update, there will temporarily be no public access to the online planning register and the
online planning portal from 15:00 on Friday 2 August, to midnight on Sunday 4 August.
The Minister for the Environment, Deputy Steve Luce, said, "As outlined in the Planning Services
Focus report, we are committed to continually investing in IT infrastructure to underpin and deliver
continuous improvement in planning services, including ensuring Islanders can continue to access
key documentation. This weekend represents another step forward in delivering our commitment
towards a more effective and efficient planning system."
The document management system houses a large volume of documentation, and for around two
weeks from Monday (5 August), users of the online planning register may experience some delays in
download times. If you experience any issues, please wait a minimum of 30 minutes and then retry
your request. In the unlikely event that you experience any ongoing issues accessing planning
applications, please email planning@gov.jāeā.ā
