Introduction
St Ouen’s Bay has consistently been at the forefront of planning and environmental policy and land management in Jersey. For more than 20 years St Ouen’s Bay has been the test-bed for a wide range of initiatives that have then successfully been applied in other areas of Jersey. Many of the policies and initiatives in the St Ouen’s Bay Planning Framework are relevant to development control and land management elsewhere in Jersey.
Policy guidance and recommendations
The Planning Framework provides policy guidance and practical recommendations that will assist the management and future development of St Ouen’s Bay. The Planning Framework provides strategic planning guidelines and detailed development control policies for St Ouen’s Bay, which will be carried forward in the reviewed Island Plan.
