Parking standards (September 1988)

This supplementary planning guidance sets standards for the provision of parking space that is required to be provided in association with all forms of development. 

In view of its age, and having regard to other government policy about travel and transport such as Sustainable transport, it has limited weight.

Non-residential parking standards guidance (September​ 1988)

The parking standards for residential development set out below have now been superseded. Revised residential development parking standards were adopted in October 2023.
