Arriving in or leaving Jersey
When you arrive in or leave Jersey, you may be asked to reveal the amount of cash you're carrying to a Jersey Customs and Immigration Service officer.
Cash includes:
- travellers’ cheques
- cheques
- promissory notes
- money orders
- coins
If you are travelling with more than 10,000 euros (or the equivalent in any other currency)
If you are entering or leaving Jersey with more than 10,000 euros (or the equivalent in any other currency)you can make a voluntary cash disclosure. This form can be filled out in advance and sent to us before you travel.

If you do not disclose cash
If you fail to disclose any cash you're carrying when asked to do so, or if you make a false disclosure, you could be fined up to £5,000 or imprisoned for up to two years, or both.
