Catering Assistant

About the Role:

Our Catering Assistant will support the Chef/Chef Manager to prepare a range of dishes and serve the students throughout the day, as well as ensuring the kitchen and catering areas are clean.? You’ll need to be Level 2 Food Hygiene qualified and ideally passionate about ensuring children and young people have access to nutritious food every day.? Strong customer service skills are also essential.???

Main duties and responsibilities

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.

Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen.

Ensure that all food safety standards are met.

Follow proper food handling procedures.
