11 November 2020Under the second schedule Regulation 3 (2) of the Sea Fisheries (Fisheries) (Jersey) Regulations 2010, the Department of the Environment hereby notifies, whosoever it may concern, that the draft licence (below) is being considered and that objections to the consent of this licence should be addressed, in writing, to the Minister no later than 30 November 2020. The licence is to enable the establishment of a holding area for the slower maturation of oyster stock.
The Department of the Environment, in pursuance of the Sea Fisheries (Fisheries) (Jersey) Regulations 2010, hereby authorises Marine Resources, Howard Davis Farm, Trinity, Jersey, JE3 5JP, to appropriate for the cultivation of Pacific Oysters (Crassostrea gigas) and Manila Clams (Ruditapes philippinarum) in the following portion of seabed namely:

An area of foreshore situated at the southern end of the Royal Bay of Grouville, measuring approximately 2 hectares.
