About the consultation
The existing Display Screen Equipment at Work: Approved Code of Practice came into force on 1 December 1998. Whilst it still reflects the principles of good practice, a revision is overdue to reflect the variety of modern working practices.
Whilst retaining the over-riding principles, in developing the draft ACoP the Health and Safety Inspectorate (HSI) has taken into account authoritative guidance published by the UK HSE and other relevant representative industry bodies.
The HSI is now inviting interested stakeholders to comment on the draft ACoP. All responses will be fully considered and taken into account when deciding on the best way to proceed.
What we want you to comment on
The consultation relates to the content of the draft document, not the design or formatting which will be finalised once the consultation is complete.
A questionnaire is provided to help you structure your response. You're not obliged to use the questionnaire but doing so will help us consider and analyse all the feedback received.
This consultation seeks your views on:
- the structure of the draft revision of the existing ACoP
- whether the level of detailed guidance provided is appropriate
- whether there are any areas not covered in the draft ACoP which should be included
