Asbestos awareness week provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the risks of asbestos and how to protect yourself and others.
If you are a tradesperson, you're likely to encounter asbestos during your work at some point. The Asbestos and You campaign provides essential advice to help you stay safe. Resources include a free 'quick guide for trades' where you can learn what to watch out for, and what to do should you come across it.
If you’re responsible for maintenance and repair of non-domestic buildings such as offices, factories, schools and public buildings, you may have the legal duty to manage asbestos. The duty to manage asbestos in buildings provides a range of resources to support dutyholders to manage asbestos in buildings.
