Jersey Children's Day

​​Jersey Children's Day 2024

Jersey will celebrate its third public Children’s Day at Howard Davis Park on Sunday 7 July from 10am to 5pm.

This is a free event for children, young people, carers and families. .

The day will include:

  • live music from youth performers from 11am to 5pm
  • free entertainment
  • free activities
  • community tents for families to access information, advice and guidance

There will also be a quiet hour from 10am to 11am for children and young people who prefer a calmer environment to enjoy activities. No music on stage will be played during this time.

Caterers at the event will provide discounted food or you can bring your own picnic.

You don’t need to book any tickets.

Our partners

A number of our partners will offer vouchers for children and young people in care, including free entry to Jersey Heritage sites and Jump Jersey.

The vouchers will be distributed through Children’s Social Care.

​About ​Children’s Day

It’s an annual event held near the 3 July, which was the day the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry was published.

The day is an opportunity to remember lessons of the past and to look forward to brighter futures for children and young people.

Previous events

The first Children’s Day in Jersey took place in 2020.

2023

Almost 8,000 attended Jersey Children's Day in Howard Davis Park.

2022

This was the first public event after the COVID pandemic.

It attracted around 6,000 Islanders at Howard Davis Park and Millbrook Park.

 

2021

2020

For the first Children’s Day, all schools and nurseries were gifted trees as part of the Tree of Renewal project.
