Jersey Children's Day 2024 Jersey celebrated its third public Children’s Day at Howard Davis Park on Sunday 7 July from 10am to 5pm.
The free event for children, young people, carers and families included:
live music from youth performers from 11am to 5pm free entertainment free activities community tents for families to access information, advice and guidance A quiet hour took place from 10am to 11am for children and young people who prefer a calmer environment to enjoy activities. No music was played during this time.
Caterers at the event provided discounted food and families took their own picnics.
Hundreds of volunteers from charities, businesses, Government of Jersey helped to make the day another success which attracted around 9,000 Islanders.

Our partners
A number of our partners offered vouchers for children and young people in care, including free entry to Jersey Heritage sites and Jump Jersey.
The vouchers from Coop were distributed through Children’s Social Care, Brighter Futures and Caring Cooks charities and Waitrose also supported Children's Day.
Jersey Water kindly donated a water tank for children, young people and families to re-fill their water bottles.
Jersey Youth Service, Jersey Youth Arts and Jersey Sport kept children, young people and families entertained for free throughout the day.
States of Jersey Police and Jersey Fire and Rescue Service provided a chance to try out the police bikes and cars as well as see inside the Fire applicance.
NSPCC Jersey and Safeguarding Partnership Board attended Children’s Day to share important safeguarding messages and support children and young people to stay safe, both on and offline, before the launch of a new safeguarding campaign later this year.
They were joined by NSPCC Pantosaurus, who met children and parents to remind everyone of important Talk PANTS rules, relating to abuse.
Channel Islands Coop team provided engaging activities, fruit and free toys as well as providing vouchers to all children in care and care leavers.
Children's Day volunteers from CYPES and across the Government of Jersey, children, survivors and Jersey Financial Services Commission worked throughout the day supporting exhibitors set up and ensuring the day was a success for all.

Independent Jersey Care Inquiry was published.
The day is an opportunity to remember lessons of the past and to look forward to brighter futures for children and young people.
