Code of conduct, disciplinary procedure and complaints procedure for the Law Officers' Department

​Code of conduct​​​

All staff in the Department must adhere to the Standards of Public Service as set out in the States of Jersey Codes of Practice.

The following code of conduct also applies to all lawyers working in the Law Officers’ Department:

Complaints procedure

If you have a complaint against a member of staff in the Law Officers’ Department, the complaint should be made by email or in writing to the Attorney General at the contact details given on this page. Abusive calls or correspondence with the Law Officers' Department staff will not be tolerated.

An acknowledgment of the receipt of your complaint will be sent to you within two working days and we will aim to provide you with a detailed response, either resolving the complaint or, where further actions are necessary, setting out the timeframe for those actions, within 25 working days.
