The Business Tendency Survey samples private sector businesses in Jersey and in December 2009 acheived a response rate of 75%, covering about half of total private sector employment. The survey asks the Chief Executive or Managing Director of sampled businesses for their opinions on the current situation of their business compared to three months previously and also for their expectations for the next three months.
The Jersey Business Tendency Survey is a quarterly survey launched in September 2009 to provide qualitative information about the Island’s economy in a timely manner. The survey enables a set of indicators to be produced that can be used to monitor economic performance.
