The Jersey Lunar New Year Festival returns to St Helier from Saturday 10 to Saturday 24 February with a range of multicultural events and activities.
Full details of the events are available on Jersey Lunar New Year Festival (gov.je).
The opening ceremony will take place in and around the Central Market at 12pm on Sunday 11 February, and Halkett Street will be closed from 12-3pm for a dragon dance performance.
A tradition of Lunar New Year is the giving and receiving of red envelopes for luck and prosperity, and 5,000 red envelopes containing exclusive offers will be distributed on the high street leading up to the event (8-11 February). The initiative aims to encourage people to explore the High Street and to support retail.
