Caravans and motorhomes in Jersey

Importing and registering a caravan or motorhome in Jersey

You must register the vehicle with Driver and Vehicle Standards (DVS) if you import a:

  • caravan
  • motorhome
  • campervan
  • folding camper
  • trailer tent

They must also display a Jersey registration mark.

It must be kept at the address at which it’s registered and out of public view, unless it’s:

  • being driven or towed on a public road
  • staying at a designated campsite

You cannot use these as accommodation or overnight accommodation unless it is at a designated campsite.

To find out more about the motorhome and campervan registration process email dvsinfo@gov.je or call +44 (0) 1534 448600.

Change of ownership, name or address

If there’s a change of ownership, name or address you must contact DVS so new registration documents can be issued.
