Statement of significance An early C20 chapel of historical interest, which contributes to the streetscape. Context n/a External Description Built in 1903 as the Wesleyan Methodist Mission. A simple single-storey, five bay pebbledash building with a gabled slate roof. Side-entry plan. The gothic arched sash windows have simple Y tracery. There is a small gabled south porch. Granite blocks inset into the base of the south façade bear the founders’ initials: ‘W.V.G., J.E.P.D., S.S.S., A.E. LE J., L.G.V.D., J.J.D., M.G.’. A plaque on the west gable has the inscription ‘Wesleyan Methodist Mission 1903’. Above is a tiny lancet window. The east gable is blank with a small chimney at its apex.
