Statement of significance A good quality example of a mid C19 independent church with fine architectural detailing. Context n/a External Description Rubble granite building with rendered south front. Slate roof gabled to the south and hipped to the north. South front of 3 bays separated by Corinthian pilasters, with finely detailed full entablature, with a decorated cornice, and plain pediment with a louvered roundel above. There is a raised wooden tetra-style portico carried on four Corinthian columns, sheltering a wide doorway set in a Tudor arch. The portico is flanked by tall Tudor-arched head windows with multi-pane glazing with wooden tracery. Stepped forecourt with boundary wall and railings with pair of gateways. Side walls of exposed granite rubble with brick dressings to windows with Tudor-arched heads and Y-tracery. Interior includes gallery with Tudoresque paneling carried on wooden Roman-Ionic columns.
