Statement of significance
This cottage, with its mid C19 character, retains its proportions and associated farm buildings with the unusual vaulted unit. It has fine stonework, surviving front door, fireplace/bread oven and beams/joists.

External Description
House (single storey, 5 bay) with single storey outbuildings attached to west with pigsties on west gable and lavoir bowl in front corner. Detached to south west is conical, stone vaulted roofed building (perhaps pigsty although function unknown). On south boundary to road is fontaine. C20 shed to west of no significance. House front (south) elevation: slate roof with tilt-lights. Brick chimneys to each gable. Stone barges with moulded kneelers. Wall dressed long and short stonework and rubble. Datestone to door lintel Ed.AH 1842 E.DVG. Windows 2 pane (1/1) replacement sashes. Door 5 panel with ovals to central panels, integral multi-paned light in top panel. Rear (north) elevation: slate roof with C20 raked dormers. Pigsties with pantile roofs. East boundary wall is rubble with dressed stone coping, gatepost has London House incised.
Internal Description
Central entrance, single pile. New stair in hallway and on west gable of original outbuilding. Internal T&G boarded partitions all newly constructed in historic positions. Historic beams and joists retained. On east gable is open fire with corbel to south jamb and bread oven to north side.
