The mill cottage is of group value. Context n/a External Description Converted corn mill with adjoining mill cottage. The mill building is irregular 3 bay, 2 storey with pantile roof and stone chimney. Front (east) elevation: Random granite rubble with large quoins and distinct batter at base. Partially quoined window surrounds. Stone lintel with date 1732 over door. Coat of arms under window over the door. Incised figure to right of door. New sash windows and door not of interest. Gable (north) elevation: rubble granite with partial pierre perdu render. 1980s replica of timber overshot water wheel (not of interest); stone water channels. Rear (west) elevation has 1996 extension, not included within listing. Of group value is the adjoining 3 bay, single storey cottage. Modern pantile roof with dormers (not of interest). Masonry walls with roughcast render and exposed stone lintels. New 12 pane (6/6) sash windows and doors not of interest. Internal Description The layout and fabric of the interiors were significantly altered in 1986 redevelopment and not included within the listing.
