One of the best-preserved examples of a late 18th century / early 19th century open battery surviving in Jersey.

External Description
On the cliff edge is an open gun battery comprising a level platform (presently covered with a depth of soil but perhaps stone-paved) surrounded on the seaward side by a low parapet wall of semi-circular plan built of rubble stone - principally slate and local conglomerate. A large gun pivot of dressed granite with iron pintle survives within the arc of the stone parapet.
