A substantial building that retains historic character and fine stonework, with later additions of good quality including a 1921 stairway of fine design and detailing. Context n/a External Description A significant landmark in St. Peter's village, adjacent to the churchyard. 2 storey, 10 bay building. Entrance (east) elevation: hipped slate roof, gabled to north bay; rendered chimney to second south bay. Walls are coursed rubble with dressed stone long and short openings, string courses at first floor cill and floor level. Window openings have flat lintels, doors arched. North bay has flat roofed entrance porch, parapet with 1841 SALLE PAROISSIALE 1921 carved. Windows are 24 pane (12/12) sashes to first floor, 16 (8/8) sashes to ground floor. North bay has Venetian style window over porch. Two main entrance doorcases replacements. Door in 5th bay is 4 panelled internally with 4 vertical panels externally. Gable (south) elevation: Windows 2 pane, doorcase replacement. Gable (north) elevation: arched stained glass window 1998. Rear (west) elevation: long expanse of plain rubble wall to northern bays. External stair at south end leads to first floor door, further south one boarded door to ground floor and three 2 pane windows to first floor. Internal Description Main hall on first floor approached from double winged stone stair wrapping around stone columns, metal rod balusters and timber handrail (1921). At foot of stairs flat arched 2 panel (upper glazed) double doors with 2 pane side and overlights. To north of these doors is 1998 extension.
