A high quality late 19th century parish hall in Gothic Revival style, in a prominent corner location opposite the Parish Church. Context Defines the centre of the parish with the Parish Church opposite. External Description Defines the centre of the parish with the Parish Church opposite. Front (west) elevation: Tiled cross roof with crested ridge tiles. Stone finial at apex of gable. Swecked stonework with ashlar quoins and quoined window surrounds. Moulded hoods to rectangular windows. First floor Gothic style window in three sections with curvilinear tracery and leaded light windows. One first floor and two second floor window are rectangular with geometrical tracery. Corner porch with pointed Gothic style arches, buttressed and with crenelations above. Geometric tiles to porch. Side (south) elevation: Tiled cross roof with crested ridge tiles. Stone finial at apex of gable. Swecked stonework with ashlar quoins and quoined window surrounds. First floor Gothic style windows with curvilinear tracery and leaded light windows. Moulded hoods to ground floor rectangular windows which have geometrical tracery and leaded lights. Corner porch with pointed Gothic style arches, buttressed and with crenelations above. Additional buildings added onto the east side, all in similar stone details but with rectangular fenestration. Stone boundary wall. Parish war memorial cross on road side. Internal Description Cross plan with corner staircase. Open well staircase with heavy square based newel posts with ball tops, half round handrails and turned balusters. Moulded arch with brackets into ground floor hallway. Great hall panelled to dado. Hood moulding to windows. Exposed scissor braced roof springing from stone corbels. Diagonal boarding. Original timber pointed arch double doors to hall.
