As the only Upper Palaeolithic site in Jersey it is of the greatest importance to the archaeological heritage of the Island. The archaeology present is also of international significance and is unparalleled in Britain or north west France. The site sits in a landscape with excellent preservation of high level marine and intertidal deposits as well as head deposits with the potential to preserve both earlier and later Prehistoric archaeology.
