A risk assessment has found that while overall Jersey's non-profit sector presents medium to low risk of being abused or misused for terrorist financing, around 11% have a heightened risk and greater vulnerability.
In order to protect Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) from terrorist exploitation and to preserve the integrity of the sector and the trust of our donor community, changes are being made to Jersey’s NPO regime.
These changes were effective from 1 January 2023 and will affect a very limited number of NPOs, and further information on the action they will need to take will be given by Jersey Financial Services Commission early in 2023.
