Become a Wild Volunteer with Wild About Jersey

What we do

Wild About Jersey aims to get people outdoors and into nature. You'll be able to meet new people and learn more about the natural world.

We want to protect and support our natural environment by:

  • helping people change their behaviour
  • encouraging Islanders to become environmental volunteers
  • monitoring Jersey’s wildlife using volunteers
  • connecting organisations so we can work together
  • organising events to showcase

We share information on volunteering opportunities and local conservation efforts.

Our aim is to inspire and train you to help us gather important information such as:

  • monitoring bats
  • counting toads
  • surveying butterfly species
The information you gather is used to protect and improve our environment.

You don't need experience and we provide training if you need it.
