Metal recycling at La Collette

Change in operator

Hunt Bros is taking over as the metal recycling operator from EMR.

The facility will be closed until mid-February whilst they are making changes.

Commercial and large metal items

If you have commercial or large metal items you can recycle them at Hunt Bros.

Items they accept include:

• large domestic appliances, such as washing machines and cookers
• end of life vehicles. Contact them for more information on what you need to do

Recycling household metal

You can recycle household metals and lead acid batteries as usual at the Household Recycling Centre at La Collette.

Items we accept:

• bicycles
• metal tools 
• aerosols
• metal lids
• drinks cans and food tins
• aluminium foil and packaging
• metal framed furniture
  
• metal kitchenware, such as pots, pans and utensils

Cooling appliances

You can recycle cooling appliances at the Household Recycling Centre at La Collette.

Cooling appliances include fridges and freezers.

You must book a drop-off time at least 3 working days in advance by emailing recycle@gov.je​.
