Report your wildlife sightings

Jersey Biodiversity Centre

The Jersey Biodiversity Centre (JBC) opened in 2013 and is now the main biological records facility in Jersey.

The centre is able to gather data on Jersey's wild plant and animals. If you have a record of a species of plant or wild animal which you think the JBC may want to know about then you can register with the Jersey Biodiversity Centre to record wildlife that you see. Once you've set up your account you can add records one by one or by adding a list of records or by importing records from a file.

The record should contain:

  • species name
  • how many
  • location or habitat
  • date seen
  • your name

If you do not want to set up an account you can still make a casual recording for an individual a species of plant or wild animal. You can do this using the Jersey Biodiversity Centre casual records form.
