La Collette commercial recycling and waste disposal facilities

You must separate all loads before delivery. We do not accept mixed loads to any site on La Collette. Separating your waste means that you pay the lowest disposal fee and we can recycle your waste properly.

There are various facilities you can use at La Collette to recycle or dispose of your commercial waste. The facility to use depends on the type of material you need to recycle or dispose of.

All companies where recycling is sent to have been checked to ensure that they are reputable. The materials are all made into new products to feed into the supply chain. This is applicable for all recycling through Parish and Government of Jersey collections.

Only contaminated material will be diverted for Energy Recovery.

Some recycling is collected using the same vehicle that collects general refuse. These loads are not mixed.

Recyclable rubble and hardcore materials

AAL Recycling Ltd operates the commercial recycling facility at La Collette for rubbles and other materials. They accept:

  • clean stone
  • sand
  • concrete
  • topsoil
  • glass

You must have an account to dispose of your waste with AAL and they set the charges.

  • roof tiles
  • ceramics
  • red bricks
  • subsoil
  • other non-recyclable builders' rubble

These materials must be clean and free from contamination so they can be recovered or used to reclaim land without risk of polluting the sea.
