The Bureau des Iles Anglo-Normandes (BIAN) opened in Caen in June 2014.
BIAN promotes political, economical, cultural, educational and operational links between the Channel Islands and France.

Role of Bureau des Iles Anglo-Normandes (BIAN)
BIAN's key objectives are to:
strengthen and build on links between the governments of Jersey, Guernsey and France, at regional and national levels
create opportunities for economic, environmental, linguistic, educational, cultural and sporting cooperation and exchange
help France and the Channel Islands to work together, eg energy, emergency planning, environmental matters, search and rescue, customs and police, transport, agricultural research, education and tourism
raise awareness of the Channel Islands' histories, cultures, natural beauty, economies and international relations
