Jersey's Household Recycling Centre has been temporarily relocated and the Transport and Technical Services Department (TTS) is asking Islanders to be patient during this period.
Access to the centre remains unchanged at Gate 4 Bellozanne but the recycling facilities have been moved within that area to allow the necessary access for a major sewage treatment project to begin.
John Rive, Assistant Director, Solid Waste for TTS said “The Household Recycling Centre was first installed in 2007 and quickly became very popular, particularly at weekends, so we are keen to ensure the facility continues to offer a high level of service. Due to its popularity, queuing has always been an issue for the site so we are asking customers to try to avoid peak times such as 10am to 12pm on a Saturday and Sunday.”
Islanders are also being reminded there are now 16 mini-recycling sites around the Island for the less bulky items which may save trips to Bellozanne.
