The approved code of practice (ACoP), 'Work with Ionising Radiation' ACoP 2, is relevant to all workplaces where ionising radiation is used, including dental practices, veterinary surgeries, airports and construction sites.
The ACoP sets out the arrangements which should be put in place to ensure that the doses of ionising radiation arising from activities are maintained at a level where the risk to individuals is acceptably low.
